Due to this issue, people started to prefer taking certain multivitamins to overcome the need for essential vitamins. People had these thoughts in mind as to why they should go to lengths to get fresh fruits. By doing some research I got to know that a typical multivitamin tablet can contain 10 to 25 isolated nutrients in it. This is more than good but the problem here is that the isolated nutrients it contains are that many vitamins and minerals are not absorbed individually; they need the presence of other vitamins, minerals, or plant compounds as well. For example, an apple that is deficient in iron, it’s iron is absorbed much better when vitamin C is present and the apple contains both. Also, these multivitamins as the label show contain specific types of nutrients not a balanced diet so they may help prevent specific nutrient deficiency but they lack in the fight against chronic diseases.
